I was fortunate to meet Gene in late 2003. As paper mill manager, I wanted to develop some tools to drive continuous improvement. In a short period of time we worked together to implement a system that provided immediate benefits. Year’s later after many personnel changes the system is still working.

I have worked with Gene for many years. My job requires that I work in several applications and systems. Gene designs custom applications that incorporate information from many systems at once.

I can always trust that the process will include my needs as “keeper of the data” as well as provide tools to analyze the information gathered.

Gene works very closely with all levels of the organization to be sure all needs are met. He continually checks in to see if all is well and quickly responds to concerns. His uncanny ability to know what we are looking for and improve upon the outcome is what makes him special. I don’t know much about “blogs” but I just want to say Gene has been a Godsend for me when it comes to process improvement.

I feel very fortunate to have connected with Gene. We had a project started by another programmer that had stalled out. Gene was able to come in and not only bring it back to life, but take it to completion in a very short amount of time. Even though he has no direct experience in the furniture manufacturing industry, he was able to ask just the right questions to determine what our needs were. Furthermore, Gene has made it very clear that this is a work in process that can continue to develop along with our business.

Not only has Gene helped our business immeasurably, but he has been a real pleasure to work with.

Gene and I served together in Vietnam more years ago than either of us want to admit. We managed to reconnect via the Internet and have been working to contact others in our unit.

Gene allowed me to assist him in putting together a website for our Vietnam brothers. He was the prime mover and developer of the site using input from others in our unit. I think he did an excellent job. You can check it out for yourself by going to My Vietnam Buddies Website.
