Place onions on a plate and break up with a fork leaving some larger pieces.
Add the flour, garlic powder and thyme. Mix well with that fork.
Crack the egg onto a second plate and mix with a little water for make an egg wash.
Dip pork chops into beaten egg then coat with onion crumbs pressing firmly to adhere. Make sure to get both top and bottom as well as the sides coated well.
Place chops on foil lined baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 Minutes or until no longer pink in center.
Serve with rosemary roasted potatoes or pan fried potatoes.
Side with fresh steamed broccoli or cauliflower.
