Sweet & Savory Summertime Treat

¼ cup butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp salt
2 firm tomatoes, cored
¼ cup finely chopped celery
2 tbsp parsley (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh chive
½ tsp dried oregano
Put first 5 ingredients in a skillet tomatoes cored side down.
Cook covered over medium-low heat for 5 minutes.
Add the herbs into sauce. Turn tomatoes over and spoon sauce over tomatoes.
Cook uncovered for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve in bowls while still hot.
